Afterschool Programs at OFS Lafayette

This year, we are offering OFS Afterschool for OFS Alumni! Children who are enrolled at Lafayette Elementary have the chance to be part of our school with fully qualified teachers for the afternoon. Your child will be part of all of the OFS afternoon schedule. That may include lunch, rest periods, outside and indoor play. Our goal is to give the children a familiar place and high quality care in the afternoons, with highly skilled and educated teachers that the children already know. We will continue to work on skills with your child that reflect our values as a school: social-emotional growth and developmentally appropriate, play-based academics.

The Aftercare Program runs from 12:45-5 p.m. (11:45 on Wednesdays) on days that OFS is open. We will pick your child up from Lafayette Elementary, check-in with teachers for any important information, and walk back to OFS.
Depending on space and age, your child may be part of the Big Room TK or the Little Red Room DK for the afternoon and assigned a primary caregiver. That primary caregiver will be communicating with you about your child’s afternoon.
The program will begin on August 25th and end in May 2026. Tuition will be prorated for the month of August to reflect the start date. Summer care will not be offered.
Children in the Aftercare Program are not part of project presentations.
